WHAT IS HOSPITALITY?

In a nutshell, hospitality studies provide the students with theoretical and practical skills to operate
as a cook, waitron or accommodation assistant in various hospitality establishments. The programme will also include some client service and human relations skills. This programme integrates academic knowledge and theory with practical skills and values.

These modules are offered at each of the different NQF Levels of study in the National Certificate (Hospitality) qualification.

VOCATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO GAIN ACCESS TO:

Manage a Guest House
Work at Hotel/Motel
Work as an assistant cook/ chef preparing food in a restaurant, hotel or guest house
Work as a waitron
Work as a housekeeper in a hotel, inn or guesthouse
