In 2025, South African youth have a unique opportunity to participate in an Electric Vehicle (EV) and Automotive Industry Skills Program in China, facilitated by Mthashana TVET College in partnership with the Department of Higher Education & Training and the Chinese Culture Centre. This program aims to equip South African graduates with in-demand technical skills for the evolving automotive sector, with a focus on electric vehicle technology, battery systems, charging infrastructure, and smart vehicle diagnostics. The program is designed to enhance participants’ international work-readiness and prepare them for opportunities in South Africa’s growing EV market.
